Hemant Indurthi

Head of Investments KSA, Equitix

Hemant Indurthi joined Equitix in November 2024 from SMBC Leasing UK Limited, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), after 13 years working in the Group. In his new role at Equitix, as Head of Investments KSA, he will be focusing on Rakiza fund investments especially targeting opportunities in Saudi Arabia.

Previously as Head of Strategy and Marketing at SMBC Leasing, implemented multiple growth strategies, developed long standing partnerships and expanded business in various sectors – Transportation, Digital Infrastructure and Energy Transition and grew balance sheet by more than $2bn over 5 years. Before he worked at SMBC Bank where he managed bank’s equity investments in various infrastructure funds in the UK and EU and played import role as member of Advisory Committees in these funds providing strategic direction, additionally managed debt portfolios (in excess of $15bn) across project finance, structured and corporate finance, ECA and multilateral financings.

He also brings 10 years of experience in engineering and technology sectors from his previous career. He has double Masters in Engineering and Computers Science along with Executive MBA from Bayes Business School, City of London.
